Hailey Mills

Hailey earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union and her Master’s degree from The University of Akron. Currently, she is a teacher at Kent State University. In the past, she taught at Ohio University, Stark State College, and The University of Akron. She has taught courses in the following areas: Social Media Principles; Introduction to Public Speaking; High Impact Speaking; Interviewing; and, not limited to, Communication in Action.

She understands what it takes to make people and organizations successful. In her professional journey, she strives to be a speaker who not only gives outstanding services, but also creates an unforgettable experience. Through experience, audience members are cared for in their personal stage of development. When this is done, they become butterflies, ready to emerge from the cocoon and fly away, ready to take the next step in their professional journeys.

In her spare time, she is a member of Stark Community Toastmasters, a group designed to improve and enhance public speaking and leadership skills. She also volunteers at a camp called Buckeye Girls State where she has the privilege of helping high school students hone in on their public speaking, public presentation, and grassroots campaign strategy skills.
